Due to its geographical location, Jardín is a very good place for birdwatching because it has a great variety of endangered, endemic and vulnerable species.

The tour starts at 5:00 a.m. leaving towards the Alto de ventanas located to 21 km of the town (2,900 m.a.s.l. approximately). There we can find a great variety of hummingbirds, the Black-billed Mountain-toucan, the endemic Yellow-eared Parrot and with some luck also the quetzal, among many others.
In the afternoon we go to the Andean Cock-of-the-rock Lek and to a road near town to see birds of low lands.
